When you need a color correction
If your color did not turn out the way you hoped, you are not stuck with it. These are the fixes we do most, whether the color came from a box, from home, or from another salon.
- Box dye you want gone
- Grown-out or built-up box color, lifted and evened out safely.
- Brassy or orange tones
- Warm, brassy, or orange results toned and glossed back to your shade.
- Hot roots and banding
- Roots that came out too warm, or stripes of uneven color, reblended.
- Dark or black to blonde
- Big lifts done in careful stages so your hair stays healthy.
- Highlights or balayage gone wrong
- Patchy, chunky, or too-warm work repainted and re-toned.
- Another salon's color
- Not happy with a recent color elsewhere? Bring photos and we will fix it.
How your correction works
Consultation and test
We look at your hair, talk through what happened and where you want to go, and often run a strand test. You leave with a clear plan and price before we start.
The correction
Corrections are done in careful stages to protect your hair. Bigger changes like dark to blonde may take more than one session, spaced out over time.
Toning and aftercare
We tone to your target shade, add bond-building treatments, and send you home with a routine to keep your color healthy between visits.
Before and after
How pricing works
Color correction is quoted per plan, not off a price list, because no two corrections are the same. What it takes depends on your hair history, how much needs to change, and how healthy your hair is to start.
So we start with a consultation. You sit down with a color specialist, talk through your hair history and where you want to end up, and leave with the whole route mapped — the plan, how many sessions it takes, the timeline, and the price. If it needs more than one visit, you know that before you commit to the first.

Color correction questions, answered
How much does color correction cost?
Every correction is quoted individually at a consultation, because the price depends on your hair history and where you want to go. New guests get a complimentary consultation. We also offer a dedicated Color Correction Consultation for $20, a separate appointment where a color specialist maps the full plan, the number of sessions, the timeline and the total price. We always agree on the plan and price before any work begins. Book your free consultation.
Can you fix box dye or color from a box?
Yes. Removing or working over box dye is one of the most common corrections we do. Box color can sit unevenly, so we plan the safest way to lift and even it out.
Can you fix brassy or orange hair?
Yes. Brassy and orange tones are usually a toning and glossing fix, and for stubborn cases we lift and re-tone. We will tell you honestly what one visit can achieve.
Can I go from dark or black to blonde?
Often yes, but big lifts are done in stages over more than one session to keep your hair healthy. We map out the timeline and cost at your consultation.
Can you fix highlights or a balayage that came out wrong?
Yes. Banded, patchy, or too-warm highlights are very fixable. We reblend and re-tone so your color looks natural again.
How many sessions will I need?
Simple tone fixes are usually one visit. Major changes or heavy previous color can take two or more sessions, spaced out so your hair stays strong.
Will color correction damage my hair?
Corrections are more involved than regular color, so we go in stages and use bond-building treatments. Protecting your hair guides every decision.
Can you correct another salon's work?
Absolutely, and it is a big part of what we do. Bring photos of the result you wanted and we will build a plan to get you there.
